The easiest way is a pre-booked tour or private transfer that picks you up at the cruise terminal and takes you straight to La Bufadora, about 40 minutes each way. You can also take a taxi or a local colectivo from downtown, but pricing, wait times, and your return timing are less predictable. With Ensenada Bufadora Tours, your driver meets you at Cruise Port Gate, and you’re back at the ship in time for all-aboard.
La Bufadora is about 22–24 miles (35–39 km) south of downtown Ensenada, on the Punta Banda peninsula. The drive takes roughly 40–45 minutes each way, and the last stretch is winding, so traffic can add time. Plan on 3.5–4 hours round trip, including about 60–90 minutes at the blowhole and its market.
For cruise passengers, our guided tour or private van is the best choice because the round trip and your return time are handled for you.

Downtown Ensenada is about a half-mile (15–20 minute) walk from the pier, so you can explore on foot with no tour. Head to the waterfront malecón, the fish market, Avenida López Mateos for shops and restaurants, and the taquerías nearby. A taxi or shuttle is available at the dock if you’d rather not walk. Carnival ships normally dock pier-side at the Ensenada Cruise Terminal on Avenida López Mateos in the heart of downtown, so you can walk off the ship and be in town within minutes. Your ship’s daily itinerary confirms the berth and the all-aboard time. Ensenada Bufadora Tours meets guests at Ship Dock Gate, about 2 Minutes from the ship.
